I started off playing keyboards in this band and later switched to drums. Tim Romain hooked me up with Doc Shanti and the Up-coming Roots. One day Doc Shanti disappeared and we never heard from him again. Later I heard a rumor that he had gone back to Jamaica. No one knows for sure. We played a handfull of shows in Berkeley and San Francisco. Once we played a benefit show for "Brownie Mary" to help her pay her legal fees. Brownie Mary made pot brownies for the medical treatment of aids and cancer patients. The feds did not like that and put this old women in jail.
