Rockesh as "The Rock" - Hunde Scheibe recording session 1988.

Rockesh as "The Rock" on drums. Hunde Scheibe practiced and recorded their songs at Rockesh's house thanks to his open minded parents.

How I met Rockesh:

One afternoon while I was driving down San Pablo Ave. in Albany I saw a large family packed into a station wagon. In the back of the car I spotted a drum set. At the time Hunde Scheibe really needed a drummer. Dave Mello's pre-record drum tracks were good but a real drummer would make us a full band. I didn't know these people at all but I rolled up on them and asked them to pull over as they turned on to Marin Street. "Okay who's the drummer?", I asked. Everyone in the car pointed at Rockesh. I got Rockesh's phone number and later Dave, Pat and I went to Rockesh's house and jammed. Rockesh turned out to be a really good drummer. He liked our music and concept so he joined Hunde Scheibe.

Rockesh is now married, living in India and studying high level mathematics.

Note: The xylophone seen in the lower left, behind "Gas" is the one used by Rockesh on the recording of the LJs song "Your Drunk Again".
