Dave Mello, Joey Schaaf, Lucio Menegon, Tim Romain The HO in Seatlle, Washington - 2004 West Coast Tour |
The Ho performs as The Who during The Who's "Live at Leeds" era. See set list The Ho recreates the powerful sound and authentic image of The Who. With wigs, costumes, vintage instruments, equipment, musical talent and actting ability, The Ho gives the audience an experience nearest to a real Who performance that anyone can get today. Here is what the press wrote about The HO: "Anyone who wants a dose of the Who without shelling out big bucks should head to Slim's Saturday night to check out the Ho, a Bay Area-based tribute band that pays gloriously loud and over-the-top homage to the classic original line-up circa the brilliant concert album 'Live at Leeds.' Bringing the tinnitus-inducing volume and high-energy intensity of a vintage Who concert to an intimate club environment, the Ho mixes solid musicianship, heartfelt affection for the band and a touch of good-humoured parody in its entertaining performance. Though any group of four guys could get dressed up in wigs and goofy outfits to portray the band's original members, the Ho carries a definite musical pedigree. Drummer Dave Mello is best known for his tenures in local punk outfits Operation Ivy and Schlong, while guitarist Lucio Menegon (aka the Reverend Screaming Fingers) has been a scene mainstay for years with Ramona the Pest. Joined by vocalist Joey Schaaf (the keyboardist from Dance Hall Crashers) and bassist Tim Romain, the Ho will deliver the goods to any rock-starved fans looking to experience an in-your-face version of the Who's cannon." - KTVU Channel 2 News - BayInsider.com - Book The HO now |
